The confidential agreement, set to be officially unveiled in the coming months, entails conducting pilot-scale tests with a mining company in Chile. In line with this, PAM Chile Spa has announced the establishment of a new business location in England serving as a pivotal platform to broaden its network of connections and establish a footprint in new technological partnerships.
The construction of the initial leaching modules is scheduled to commence in the final quarter of this year, aiming to have the service operational by the end of 2023.
The Oxy-Fast (ATCu) is an adaptable and fast extraction kinetic process that utilizes a mobile equipment called a "reactor" to maintain movement of the mineral phase with the aqueous phase. The encounter between both phases occurs at an adjustable speed, aided by leaching agents that facilitate the dissolution of the target elements, specifically soluble copper, at room temperature. This reaction takes place within the mixture of reagents and mineral, contained in a hermetic bed, where pressures and gases act as accelerators of the chemical reaction. As a result, the Oxy-Fast process achieves high recoveries of both high-grade and low-grade minerals, as well as effectively addresses mining liabilities such as gravel and clay fines.
Based on laboratory test results using Enami's materials from 2018 to 2020, it has been determined that the reactor and the Oxy-Fast process are viable for extracting copper, gold, and strategic minerals. These fixed modules are designed for on-site application in small and medium-scale mining operations. The plan is to commence manufacturing the initial leaching modules in the final quarter of this year, with the goal of having them fully operational before the conclusion of 2023.
